I didn’t know what else would happen or how these two threads would tie together, but since I seem constitutionally unable to plan my novels in advance, I’ve had to get used to making leaps of faith.
Pretty much all I knew when I started writing Great Circle in 2014 was that it would be a novel about a female pilot who disappears in 1950 while trying to fly around the world north-south, over the poles, and also about a troubled modern movie star playing the pilot in a biopic.
